Do You Love Quotes too?
If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you know that I love quotes. I find so much inspiration and motivation in elegantly constructed sentences.
Some quotes have given me so much hope, determination and the strength to follow a healthy direction.
I keep a journal of my favorites that I read again and again. I read them when I need a reminder or an extra boost in positivity.
If you love quotes too, we are not alone. There are a tremendous number of people, across the globe, that enjoy quotes. And there are entire websites and books devoted to only quotes.
Quotes are Cherished Wisdom from Notable People
The most shared quotes are from accomplished and famous people. There are some people that have a way with words. Expressing an idea or a thought can be difficult sometimes. But then you read a quote from someone famous and they have that exact thought. They have worded this thought so well that it resonates with your mind and soul.
It can be comforting to know that you are not alone in your thoughts and beliefs.
Or maybe you happen to come across a quote that stops you in your tracks? You think for a minute or two and a lightbulb goes on in your head. “YES! “ You say to yourself. “That makes complete sense now.” It answered that nagging question your may or may not have known you were asking.
Thus, quotes can spark an epiphany.
Words are Powerful
It amazes me that so few words can hold such immense wisdom and evoke strong emotions. Sure, it is great to read an essay or novel. But a quote is a short, quick and easy read that can pack a tremendous punch.

These are great! My grandmother had the Benjamin Franklin quote, “Eat to live, don’t live to eat,” displayed on a pig-shaped placard hanging next to her kitchen table. I read it every time I sat there and smiled from the time I could first read, practically. But I never knew who said it, so it’s cool to find that out. Also, I love that first quote by MLK; he has some great ones!
